About

I’m just your normal, everyday 50’s housewife.  Except I was born in 1985 and have to work full time in order to afford my shoe collection.  I have always felt disconnected from my own generation.  I certainly relate more to June Cleaver than I do with Carrie Bradshaw.  So just how does a woman be a housewife in the modern world?  That remains to be seen…

What I do know is that  my kitchen supplies do not actually fit into my kitchen, I own more aprons than is strictly necessary, baking is my favorite form of therapy, and nothing pleases me more than serving a homecooked meal to my husband.  I’m sure there are many feminists who are screaming at me – but I think I’m ok with that.

This would be me, stealing the cake on my wedding day - proof that even my husband doesn't come between me and cake! And it was delicious!

This picture is a perfect description of me! The original of this picture belongs to the amazing Allie Brosh and can be found on her blog Hyperbole and a Half (click on picture for link)!
